The Tempest – Shakespeare in the Park - Araluen Botanic Park

The Tempest – Shakespeare in the Park

Saturday 12th November 4-6.30pm
Araluen Botanic Park

This year we are presenting the bard’s comedy ‘The Tempest’, once again directed by Paul Treasure

The King of Naples and his closest advisers are caught in a terrible storm at sea and wrecked upon a strange island ruled over by a powerful sorcerer. The sorcerer, Prospero, and his daughter, Miranda, have been the only human inhabitants on the island for years, sharing it with other spirits and monsters. But… it turns out that this shipwreck is no accident, as the sorcerer happens to be the former Duke of Milan who was deposed with the help of the very same King of Naples. This sorcerer may just have revenge on his mind…

Set in the beautiful grounds of Araluen Botanic Park in Roleystone, this production will be a chance to see this classic play in a magical outdoor setting.
