Looking for something to do these winter school holidays? Take advantage of the cooler weather and head to the Perth Hills for a day of relaxation and peace. Bring the whole family with you to have a lovely picnic in one of our grassed areas and spend quality time in a green, open and safe place. There are also free electric BBQs you can use. Book your visit here.
When visiting during the winter school holidays with children you can take part in some fun activities such as orienteering and scavenger hunts. If you haven’t tried them yet, this might also be the perfect time to have some fun using our Augmented Reality filters and take beautiful magical photos! QR codes are available throughout the Park to activate the filters at any time. Ask our customer service staff if you need help on how to access these via Facebook Messenger on your mobile device. Public Wi-Fi is available at the Park.
For the more adventurous, there is also a Scavenger Hunt Hike on Tuesday 12th of July. The Hike Collective team will lead you into secret trails and teach how to build journey sticks. Find out more here.
If you can’t join our activities, don’t worry, there are other fun things you can do at your own pace anytime. Make sure to ask for our free Activity booklet from the Main Entry Gate upon arrival.
The Park is open every day for the whole holiday period.
The Araluen Botanic Park Foundation is committed to operation and maintenance of the park to the highest standards for the enjoyment of those who visit. The team has been preparing for Springtime and some works have been done to the main areas. Visitors will now enjoy a beautiful view of the Pool Side Pergola and of the Roundhouse from the main lawn area!
