We are delighted to share that the Araluen Botanic Park has been successful in its reapplication to be recognised as an International Camellia Garden of Excellence, judged at the International Camellia Society‘s Directors Meeting in Italy in March 2023.
This prestigious accreditation recognises Araluen’s commitment to the preservation, cultivation, and promotion of camellias, and is only awarded to exceptional camellia gardens worldwide. Araluen is one of only 40 gardens in the world and one of only four in Australia to receive this distinction.
With a collection of over 350 camellia varieties, Araluen Botanic Park provides an unparalleled opportunity to cultivate exotic and cool climate plants in Western Australia. Visitors can enjoy the park’s picture-perfect Camellias from April to October each year.
