Guided Hikes with The Hike Collective

In partnership with The Hike Collective since 2019, Araluen offers exclusive guided hiking tours that venture beyond the public paths and into areas of the Park not normally accessible. These tours are a unique way to experience Araluen’s hidden landscapes, combining natural beauty with rich local history.

Your guided 4.5km hike begins with a heart-starting incline, leading through untouched bushland before opening out into sweeping vistas and tranquil corners. Along the way, you’ll explore the Park’s original stone pathways, historic jarrah pergolas, and charming 1930s log cabins nestled within each garden precinct.

As you journey through Araluen’s landscape, you’ll learn about the property’s transformation from orchard land to the iconic Botanic Park it is today. The trail winds through undulating terrain to the Park’s dam before descending into the 14 hectares of curated gardens, home to exotic plants and vibrant seasonal displays that thrive in the cool microclimate of the Perth Hills.
