Araluen Botanic Park is a not-for-profit charity

While the Park receives partial State Government funding, Araluen Botanic Park operates as a charity and relies largely on entry fees, memberships, and hire services to support day-to-day operations. Importantly, every dollar raised through entry fees and memberships is reinvested directly into maintaining and caring for the Park.

As a result, Araluen is maintained by a very small team of dedicated staff and volunteers who work year-round to keep the gardens open, safe, and welcoming. However, due to these limited resources, it is not always possible for the Park to remain open on all 13 Western Australian public holidays each year.

For this reason, the Park will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day, allowing our staff time to rest and enjoy time with their families. We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support.
