Wedding Venue Hire

The ideal time is during spring, from Mid-October to early December, when the park is fully bloomed, or in Autumn when the golden red and yellow colours are showing off. The Park is the best location for garden weddings in Perth if you want memorable photography as part of your hire package.

Due to an increase in visitors and scheduled lawn maintenance for the Springtime Festivals, we do not accept venue hire bookings for events in August/September or the first 14 days of October.

We can accommodate weddings from 30 to 300 guests, depending on the selected location within our venue. These can be foudn on our downloadable Wedding Package Brochure, but the same numbers apply for venue hire of the same location for other special events or parties.

Amphitheatre can hold up to 600 guest for music events

Concourse Lawn can accommodate up to 3000 persons for music, arts and cultural events.

Smaller lawn locations are best for intimate wedding ceremonies.

The Forest View Deck is the only location for hire for a wedding reception, or team building workshop or conference style event and can seat up to 200 persons.

Absolutely, Araluen Botanic Park offers indoor venues that can serve as a backup in case of inclement weather

Bonds are due at time of booking to secure the space. Bond money is refundable based on terms and conditions outlined in the contract.

A Non Refundable administration fee of $100 is due at time of booking to secure the space.

Please read the terms and conditions carefully before sending your enquiries, as they may be easily interpreted within that information and speed up the process of locking in your location hire space to avoid disappointment.

You can, however, please ensure you discuss this with our Events Office.

Araluen has public toilets to cater to the maximum guests permitted, so additional toilets are not required.

Yes! There are plenty of beautiful venues to suit different events.

As Araluen staffing capacity is limited, all events (excluding receptions) must be held within the Park’s opening hours of 9am to 5pm. Receptions can be held from 6pm-10pm but an extra security cost will be charged and these bookings can only be made with written permission from ABP. Please note an additional cost will be charged for packing down for events that extend past the allocated time and/or visitors that delay exiting the Park.

No BYO alcohol is permitted at the Park. For alcohol consumption at the Park, please contact ckettle@araluenbotanicpark.com.au

The Forest View Deck is once again available for receptions! Reception bookings are for either 2 hours or 4 hours and cannot extend past 10pm. Please submit an enquiry via our web form or contact us directly at weddings@araluenbotanicpark.com.au for more information and to book.

Yes, most areas of the park and main venues are designed to be wheelchair accessible.

Parking Bays and Toilets facilities for special needs access.

Araluen has up to 600 car parking spaces available. The parking is included in the hire fee.

Our Customer Service and Administration Officers are available to assist you with hiring locations for weddings or special events. They can also provide guidance on logistics related to the use of Park facilities, including access to:

• Parking

• Power

• Water

• Bathrooms

Please note that Araluen staff do not provide wedding coordination or planning services. If you require these services, we recommend engaging external suppliers once your space within the Park has been secured.

If a hirer is bringing in contractors for furniture, catering or other installations, all of those external contractors must complete an induction prior to delivering third-party services at the Park. Araluen staff can arrange inductions between Tuesday to Friday.

If the Event is rendered impossible by reason of Force Majeure, Araluen Botanic Park may at its absolute discretion offer the Hirer a refund of a portion of or all monies paid to the Park, offer a credit for such monies and / or vary the Booking.

This has not been requested as they generally turn up dressed and ready. But no, the Park cannot cater for this request at this point in time.

Araluen does permit the wedding party to do a rehearsal prior to the actual wedding date. This is negotiated once a contract to hire is in place with a deposit.

When our on-site caterer is not operating, it is possible to bring in outdoor catering. Suppliers will be required to fill in a contractor’s handbook and provide relevant documentation. Please discuss this with the Team

Refunds are not provided for change of mind or inclement weather. Hirers must consider this at time of booking.

Does the Park offer any security services? Can security guards be brought into site?
We do have a preferred security provider and this service is required for weddings held after 5pm at the cost of the hirer.

Some items are permitted. Outdoor heating with naked flames is not permitted. Only battery-operated candles.

The Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre is a domestic travel agent and can provide booking services for hirers or guests.
