Where to Eat

Cafés and Picnics in Nature

Whether you’re looking to enjoy a leisurely lunch, a quick coffee, or a scenic picnic surrounded by blooms, Araluen Botanic Park offers something for every taste. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and enjoy the many picnic spots throughout the Park, nestled among the native bushland and seasonal gardens. For those after something more, Araluen is home to two distinct cafés — each offering a unique food and visitor experience.

Chalet Healy Café: Where Gourmet Meets Nature

Set against the stunning backdrop of Araluen’s gardens, Chalet Healy Café reopens this spring with a brand-new menu by internationally renowned Chef Pablo Henke. With over 20 years of experience in top kitchens around the world, Chef Pablo brings a fresh perspective inspired by Australian native ingredients and global culinary techniques. The result is a modern, refined menu that pairs perfectly with the natural beauty of Araluen.

The Roundhouse Café: A Taste of History

The Roundhouse Café offers a casual and family-friendly dining experience in one of the Park’s most historic locations. Originally built in the 1930s as a cookhouse for early Araluen pioneers, the Roundhouse was constructed from hand-cut stone sourced from the nearby Stinton Creek. Today, it’s a relaxed place to enjoy coffee, light snacks, or a picnic on the central terrace lawn surrounded by history and nature.
